The University of Brighton

The University of Brighton which is formerly known as Brighton Polytechnic, is considered to be a multi-site university which is located in the Brighton and Hove city in England. Three following places are occupied by the University of Brighton. The educational institution was established in 1968 as Brighton Polytechnic. It was established due to the merging of the following institutions: Brighton College of Technology and Brighton College of Art. In 1976, the Polytechnic started to grow due to the merging of Brighton College of Education. In 1979, the East Sussex College of Higher Education at Eastbourne was also incorporated. And only in 1992 the University of Brighton received the status of the university.
