This weekend, Saudi Arabia’s Prince Alwaleed bin Talal released several documents to the media which refute allegations that he raped a young model aboard his yacht docked in Ibiza, Spain in August 2008. Last week, a Spanish court re-opened the case which was originally closed due to a lack of evidence. The documents Prince Alwaleed’s private office sent to Royalty in the News include a scan of his passport, which is marked for France in August 2008, and scans of yacht navigation logs, again showing Alwaleed’s yacht, Kingdom 5-KR, was not ever docked in Spain during that time. The Prince’s private office also released statement from Heba Fatani, the Sr Executive Manager of the Corporate Communications department of Kingdom Holding Company. Fatani is quoted as saying Alwaleed was with his wife, Princess Ameerah, and daughter, Princess Reem, at the time and was also surrounded by French security while being in multiple public places in France. In addition, Fatani says, “While the Prince is a committed advocate for women and has empathy for any assault victim, he was simply not present” in Ibiza as the alleged victim claims. Also speaking out is Alwaleed’s wife, Princess Ameerah. According to the AFP, she has said this about the rape allegations: “I was with my husband outside of Spain the day these allegations took place in Ibiza.” “Quite simply we were not there. We were together in the French city of Cannes. I was with him all the time, and we were with at least 30 people,” she said. “Hundreds of witnesses can confirm that we were in Cannes, just as there are dozens of proofs that we were not in Ibiza in 2008.” The reason why this case has been reopened is because a provincial court overturned the ruling to close the case, and an Ibiza court wanted to formally request assistance from the Saudi authorities to take a statement.

Prince Bin Talal Demonstrate Money Is More Important
Apparently, it is coming as a shock to some of the millions of angry, jingoistic Americans, who thought Fox News was seriously patriotic and not just one of Rupert Murdoch’s money grubbing ventures, that the prince of media darkness is now in business with a real Saudi prince. My earlier column on Rupert’s Saudi business playmate, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, a nephew of the Saudi king, seemed to upset the Tea Party crowd almost as much as Senator Scott “Benedict Arnold” Brown voting with the Democrats on the jobs bill last month.

Who is Arabian Warren Buffett ? Prince of Saudi Arabia
Until the one month anniversary of the September 11 attacks against the United States, Saudi Prince Al-Walid bin Talal bin Abdulaziz was not recognizable to most people outside of the Middle East and international business circles. Although he was then listed by Forbes magazine as the six richest person in the world (he is now eleventh) and had invested the bulk of his estimated $20 billion fortune in high-profile American corporations, until October 11, 2001 Al-Walid remained what Business Week once called "the most important financial kingpin that you've never heard of."1 His gift of a $10 million check to the victims of the World Trade Center disaster on that day would have made him a celebrity in the United States, had it not been followed by a statement so offensive to most Americans that New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani promptly returned it. The intense media frenzy which resulted was quickly superseded by the war in Afghanistan, however, and the prince soon became a mere antagonist in Giuliani's mythic rise to national fame

Wealth, Richness & rape investigation of Saudi prince
A Spanish court has reopened an investigation into an allegation that one of the world's richest men, Saudi Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, raped a young woman on a yacht on the island of Ibiza in 2008. But the prince says that not only is he innocent, but that he hasn't even been in Ibiza in more than a decade -- and that others have tried to impersonate him. The woman filed her complaint in Ibiza in August 2008, but a local judge shelved it last year, citing a lack of evidence that a crime had been committed, according to court documents. The woman appealed to the next highest court, the Balearic Island Provisional Court, which ruled that the lower court in Ibiza should reopen the investigation.
