How Prince Walid Build the Foundations ?

How Prince Walid Build the Foundations ?
Al-Walid got his start in business much like other well-connected Saudis by becoming an agent for foreign companies operating in the kingdom. The early 1980s witnessed a massive construction boom and skyrocketing import sector, fueled by high oil prices. Under Saudi law, foreign businesses are required to have a local sponsor who earns a 5% commission from any contract (in practice, though, companies have often been obliged to pay fees of 30% or more to influential middlemen in order to land lucrative contacts). In 1980, the Prince mortgaged a mansion given to him by his father in order to start a company called Kingdom Establishment. He soon landed his first deal - an $8 million contract by a firm in South Korea to build a bachelor's club at a military academy near the Saudi capital.

Most Powerful Lebanese Woman 2012
The general selection process for this year’s most influential Lebanese women nominees, and the winner of the Most Powerful Lebanese Woman 2009 title is in concurrence with our previous studies, which are based on a weighed average relating public perception (media, blogs, surveys...) and actual merits of each eligible personality (appraised by the LebAwards committee). Their various proficiencies and leadership qualities (fitted with according coefficients) are rated then compared for the final ranking. We would like to remind the readers that the end result is reflective of events and activities that occurred in 2009 and does not constitute an absolute evaluation.

Prince Walid , Member of House of Saud

Prince Walid , Member of House of Saud
Prince Walid is aslo a member of house of saud. The House of Saud is the royal family of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The modern nation of Saudi Arabia was established in 1932, though the roots and influence for the House of Saud had been planted in the Arabian peninsula several centuries earlier. Prior to the era of the Kingdom's founder, Abdul-Aziz ibn Saud, the family had ruled the Nejd and had conflicted on several occasions with the Ottoman Empire, the Sharifs of Mecca, and the Al Rashid family of Ha'il. The House of Saud has gone through three phases: the First Saudi State, the Second Saudi State, and the modern nation of Saudi Arabia.
The history of the Al Saud has been marked by a desire to unify the Arabian Peninsula and to spread what it promotes as a more purified and simple, though often criticized as less tolerant, view of Islam embodied by Wahhabism which has gained international controversy since the events of 9/11. The House of Saud is also linked with Wahhabism (Saudis deprecate the term, preferring the term Salafi) through the marriage of the son of Muhammad bin Saud with the daughter of Muhammad Abd al Wahhab in 1744.
