Parliamentary activities

Universities UK monitors Parliament for issues relating to higher education More than one hundred MPs have UUK member institutions in their constituencies. Many more have a direct interest in higher education because of the impact of policy decisions on businesses, students, families and university staff. The House of Lords also contains a large number of members with expert knowledge of higher education. We work to ensure that the interests of universities are represented by facilitating debate on key issues and giving evidence and briefings to MPs and Peers on matters affecting our member institutions and the higher education sector.
